Trent is a legend in West Aussie footy culture.

His influence stretched across Amo's and WAFL, but he is best known as the most successful Western Australian coach of the AFLW.

Playing in the WAFL for Peel and Swans, he made his biggest mark as a coach, taking the Swans colts from wooden spooners to a premiership in one year.

He moved on to coaching the Freo AFLW team, taking them from second last in their first two seasons to playing finals in his first season in charge.  The team then went through undefeated in 2020 and won their first final by a record margin before a Pandemic outbreak saw the AFLW season canceled at that point.  We talk about how the AFL may have denied Freo their first flag!

He was one of four finalists for Coach of the Year in the RAC WA Sports awards and was awarded the J. J. Leonard for the best coach in WA as judged by the WAFC.

He is a teacher by trade and has a range of experience in the media where has worked on radio and as a presenter for Sky Channel. He now works in the high-performance unit of the WA Football Commission.

Tune in for our chat with Local Hall of Champions Legend Coops - hear him recount stories of premierships and heartbreaks through his footy journey and his quite unique win loss record!
