We live in troubled times, large portions of our nation are divided along lines of economic status, racial identity and a myriad of other differences that seem to draw attention away from the ways we are the same. The world has no answers. We can’t look to the media, or secular leaders who seem to only exasperate the issues at hand. So where can we look? As today’s guest will tell us, we can look to the Gospel.Captain Jon Lewis serves in the Salvation Army in Pittsburgh and will soon be in charge of youth ministry in our area. Captain Jon is uniquely suited to today’s discussion of race relations and reconciliation because in addition to working with people from all backgrounds, Jon himself is an African American born and raised in West Philadelphia. So join Tom, Nate and Captain Jon as they discuss the divides our nation is facing and the only way to bridge the gap: the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Welcome to another Episode the Scattered Seeds Podcast, where every life has a story.
