Even for those who have never heard of the Opera, or the story it came from have heard the Violin solo from the Meditation is a recognizable tune. And for today’s guest the opportunity to play the meditation for the Met was also a chance to publicly proclaim where he stood in his Faith. David Chan is an accomplished violinist with degrees in music from Harvard and Julliard and a long tenure at the Metropolitan Opera before recently making guest appearances for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
