Welcome back to The Wayside Podcast!
"Beauty will save the world..."
This quote from Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky serves as the title and theme of our new series. This week we experience week one of the “Great Fifty” – for us, Easter Sunday is a feast day that merely kicks off fifty great days of rejoicing, celebration and joyful thanksgiving – from the darkness of Good Friday and solemnity of Holy Saturday to the redemption of the world on Easter Sunday. Join us for the next several weeks as we dive into how beauty - in all its forms - can save the world.
In today's episode, we welcome back a returning guest to the podcast: Rev. Dr. Michael Lloyd, or "Dr. Evil" as he is jokingly referred to due to his studies and works on the problem of evil. Dr. Lloyd, the Principal of Wycliffe Hall at Oxford University, begins our journey into this new series.
