The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, first published on 19 December 1843, the old Black & White film released in 1938 was a true American Classic, and it was this movie that prompted me to do this episode.
The movie got me thinking, what would my life had been had Daddy not survived his battle with a brain tumor in 1968? Who would have been my father figure? Who might have come into my mother's life a the new man, husband and caretaker? Would it have been a good life, a better life, or very possibly been much worse?
All I can say is: God's miracles have a very reverberating effect. Even God's miracles don't happen in a vacuum, and looking back, I see how God's divine play (His Hands and acts) made not only a resounding impact to the life and outcome for my Mama, but how it also impacted me, my sister and brother, and I'm sure many others.
NOTE: In this movie, Bob Cratchit's wife Mrs. Cratchit was played by Kathleen Lockhart, the mother of the famous June Lockhart (Lassie and Lost in Space). And note that it was June Lockhart who was also in this movie, as she played the role of Belinda Cratchit, the youngest of the two Cratchit daughters.
