One of the many pit-falls of being young is, the lack of life experiences.   Being raised in rural America sheltered from city life and cultures I ain't never seen before.  Having zero guidance and coaching for the first time I ever rented an Apartment or rather a Townhouse.  Hell, I didn't even know what a Townhouse was, much less a what a bagel was.
Yes sir, young and stupid I was.  Too stupid and too motivated to get out of the US Navy Barracks gave way to me overlooking and/or not seeing the obvious signs of what was to become.  One that stands out is:  why all the burnt pots in the backyard, and why all the small burn holes in the carpet near the end of the couch?   These were just two signs I should have picked on.
If Mama and Daddy only knew.
