According to the CDC it is estimated that 6 million children between the ages of 3-17 years old were diagnosed with ADHD using data from 2016-2019. Of the 6 million children 63% received prescription medication; primarily stimulants or amphetamine derived substances such as Adderall, Ritalin or Vyvanse. The side affects from these medications are not very favorable in the short term and long term.
