Charles Rosenay is the author of books, a convention organizer, and the host of tours to the famous castle of Dracula in Romania. On a side note, and we discuss this very topic, Vlad III, commonly referred to as Vlad the Impaler or Vlad Dracula, assassinated prince of Wallachia, is viewed as a local hero. The castle you visit on local tours is more a modern-day reconstruction by Romania for the tourists who want to see the abode of the character that inspired the Bram Stoker Dracula character.
The locals view him as a liberator from Ottoman oppression and statues of his figure populate the area.
