Description

My children and grandchildren are staying at our house until we get their house finished. We always begin dinner with the conversation that begins with the subject. Last night I asked my granddaughters, “If a grocery store is selling you apples at 50 cents each, would you elect a politician who would force the store owner to sell you the apples 30 cents each?” My 12 year old granddaughter Josie thought about it for a bit and answered, “What if store owner’s cost is 40 cents? Why would he sell his apples at 30 cents - and lose 10 cents? You can’t force somebody to sell something at a loss! I’d end up getting no apples at all! I wouldn’t vote for that stupid politician!”
This was from a 12 year old. It seems that 12 year-old kids are a lot smarter than grown up Democrats. Sponsored by the Caylor Group Wealth Management in Lynchburg VA. Call 434-455-7197.
