This is the story of Casey and Zayden.
Zaydens life was taken from him. His life was ended far too short at just 10 and a half months of age. Zayden was violently murdered on June 15th 2012, while asleep in his cot, by a 19 year old ice addict during a string of robberies. He inflicted fatal and horrific injuries, it has been described as one of the most shocking and heinous crimes in Australian history, appallingly violent and shockingly evil.
Casey shares her grief and insight into trauma and triggers. She discusses how she has reached a stage of grief beyond acceptance and her determination not to let trauma define her.
