This is the story of Danielle, Jackson & Scruff. Danielle and Scruff are mum and dad to Jackson. In 2016 Danielle and Scruff were living a happy, full, family life. They were living in a small coastal community and were excited to be installing a pool- something they knew would bring many happy family memories. During its construction in 2016 Jackson was run over by a vehicle on their family property and sadly lost his life. On average Driveway accidents or vehicle accidents on private property in Australia take the life of 7 children each year and seriously injure 60. The driver is often known to the family or is family and adds another devastating layer to an already immense grief. Following Jacksons passing Danielle had grave concerns for the health and wellbeing of her husband Scruff- a previously well, healthy and vibrant man. Less than 3 months after Jackson died, Scruff made the decision to take his own life. Danielle bravely and honestly shares her story with us today.
