Listen

Description

You grab your tackle box, tie on your favorite lure, and head to the shore for a relaxing day of fishing.

But, hours later, you haven’t had a single fish bite your line.

Parenting can feel like that sometimes. Especially when you are trying to communicate with boys.

When it doesn’t seem like your son is listening, it’s time to adjust your approach, time to connect with him. Put your phone down. Give him your focused attention, eye to eye contact. Initiate physical touch.

But even if he still doesn’t seem to hear you, don’t lose heart. After all, the most rewarding fish to catch is the one you catch after a day of no bites.
