Dr. Bornfriend is a triple Board-Certified Psychiatrist (Adult, Child and Adolescent, and Forensic Psychiatry), a specialist in psycho-oncology after spending nearly 10 years at Cancer Treatment Centers of America as the only psychiatrist, a thought leader in the medical cannabis space, and a prescribing physician/ psychedelic assisted psychotherapy facilitator. She has recently joined the Yang Institute for Integrative Medicine providing psychotherapy and medication management as well as supervision for Spravato, TMS and NeuroEmotional Techniques practitioners, with the intention of developing a medical cannabis program and enhancing the psychedelic assisted psychotherapy program.
