In this weeks episode, I share my version of the famous fable from Aesop, The Tortoise and the Hare and consider different versions of the moral of the story.

We tend to always think of the story of the Tortoise and the Hare as "Slow and Steady Wins the Race." But I also see it as a lesson in how being impatient, or focusing on how quickly you can reach the obligatory goals our society claims are success, can be a hinderance to our personal growth and true happiness.

I also see this lesson as an example of the importance of knowing who you are and working within your capabilities, with no comparison of what others can do, and choosing to honour your own talents and gifts, and yes, even your limitations.

The quote that I paired with todays episode is from Doctor Anita Sands. She says "“Don’t walk ten miles into the forest and expect to get out in five.”

I'll talk about this in the context of our lives, our expectations and our situations in this episode.
