On November 3rd, 2018, 40-Year-Old wife and mother Tamla Horsford excitedly attended what was essentially an adult sleepover to celebrate the birthday of one of her friends. After a night of gal-palling, watching football and drinking, everyone seemingly went to sleep. The next morning, Tamla, the only woman of color in attendance at the sleepover was found lying face down in the backyard, dead from an apparent fall from the second story balcony. To make matters even more sinister, the sleepover and Tamla’s subsequent death would take place in a county that has a heavily documented history of harboring racial prejudice. The investigation and outcome to follow sparked outrage as her death was ultimately ruled an accident despite multiple pieces of evidence pointing to something far different. This week, Allison and Katie discuss the suspicious death of Tamla Horsford.
