The coronavirus has started to make its impact on the Connecticut sports scene. Today the CIAC announced that it would be canceling all winter sports tournaments. First up, you’ll hear from Glenn Lungarini, Executive Director of CIAC. Glenn talks about what went into this decision to cancel these tournaments, alternatives they considered and has a message for athletes, coaches, fans, and supporters. Then, you’ll hear from Jake Walker. A former Fairfield Prep hockey player, Jake saw the news and immediately thought of his friends still playing high school sports. Jake started a petition on change.org to get the CIAC to change its decision.
