The Story of Scripture with Pastor John

Matthew 6 reminds us that the Christian life is not meant to be lived for the applause of people, but before the eyes of our Heavenly Father.

Jesus teaches us that:

• The Father sees what others may never notice.
• The Father knows what we need before we ask.
• The Father hears when we pray.
• The Father provides for His children.
• The Father can be trusted with tomorrow.

Jesus calls us to pray, give, fast, and live with the right motive—not to impress others, but to honor God.

And when worry begins to take over, Jesus gives us this command:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33

You do not have to carry tomorrow today.

You do not need tomorrow’s grace today. God will give tomorrow’s grace tomorrow.

Seek His kingdom.
Trust His provision.
Live before the Father.
