Day 271 — “Lost and Found”
Luke 15

Luke 15 shows us the heart of God toward lost people.

Jesus tells three stories: a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost son. In every story, something valuable is lost, something is found, and rejoicing follows.

The shepherd goes after the sheep until he finds it.
The woman searches for the coin until she finds it.
The father sees his son coming home and runs to meet him.

That is the heart of God.

But Jesus also shows us two different ways to be lost.

The younger son was lost in rebellion.
The older son was lost in self-righteousness.

One ran away from the father. The other stayed near the house but was far from the father’s heart.

And both needed grace.

The good news is this: God receives repentant sinners.

You are not too far gone to come home. You are not beyond the reach of grace. Jesus came to seek and save the lost, died for our sin, and rose again so that everyone who repents and believes can be forgiven.

And when a sinner comes home, heaven rejoices.

So today, ask yourself:

Am I trusting Christ—or myself?
Have I wandered from the Father?
Do I still rejoice when grace reaches someone else?

What was lost can be found. And when sinners come home, heaven rejoices.
