Day 286 — The Lamb Slain | John 19
At the cross, Jesus was not merely a victim of injustice. He was the perfect Passover Lamb, willingly giving His life to redeem sinners.
The Passover lamb pointed ahead to a greater rescue. Jesus fulfilled that promise. He bore our sin, faced the judgment we deserved, and declared, “It is finished.” His sacrifice is complete, and everyone who trusts in Him can be forgiven and brought near to God.
Our hope isn’t in our goodness or our ability to earn God’s favor. Our hope is in Jesus—the Lamb who was slain and the Savior who rose again.
