Day 287 — “He Is Risen” | Matthew 28
The women came to the tomb expecting to find Jesus’ body. Instead, they heard the words that changed everything: “He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.”
They came carrying grief, but they left with joy and a message to share. The tomb was empty because Jesus had conquered death. He wasn’t just remembered by His followers or alive in their hearts—He had risen bodily, just as He promised.
Matthew 28 reminds us that the resurrection is the foundation of our hope. Jesus’ victory means sin and death do not have the final word for those who trust in Him. And the risen Christ still sends His people to make disciples, carrying the good news to the world with the promise that He is with us always.
Jesus is alive. Our hope is secure. And the good news is meant to be shared.
