To start this weeks episode off, the Dads had another one of Josh's beloved breweries, Cape May Brewing Co. out of Cape May, NJ. Josh's beer of choice was the Oktoberfest -- isn't it a bit soon to be busting out the fall beers? Regardless, both Dads agreed this took them by surprise and they are now ready for crunchy leaf season! The show then transitions to the weekly catch-up, where Josh brags about going to his first ever Eagles game, and spending time with his girlfriend from FL. Meanwhile, Rich is just preparing the mundane routine to transform into the school-ready routine.
The show then transitions to the newly dubbed segment: Time to be an aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 4: Show Them How To Keep Their Cool. Both Dads discuss how important it is to maintain that level-headed approach when slammed with a high-stress, high-anxious moment. The show then progresses to the weekly topic...
Opinions Are Like A**holes: We’ve all had someone tell us how we aren’t doing this right as a parent, or we aren’t doing that right as a parent. However, the only people that are in the know for you and your family are just that – those in the know. Tonight we discuss how we as Dads handle those unsolicited parenting tips.
After an exchange of some in-depth conversation and questions, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations". Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading blurbs from FML.com.
