We have the Lord God as our protector, provider, and guide. No other power exists with unlimited ability to care for those under its watchful eye. The Lord is our Shepherd. He knows our actual needs and nothing can prevent him from meeting those needs—except perhaps our own foolishness to refuse or neglect his gracious offer to be our Shepherd. He is the ultimate provisionary regardless of the situation. His offer as Shepherd of our lives is the promise of flawless provision.
