Welcome to another episode of Son and Pops Sports. The drama continues this week in the NFL, especially if you’ve been following what’s going on with Michael Oher. The week of the NFL preseason is complete, and there are definitely some things you’ll have noticed if you are paying attention.
Carolina is going to have some problems this year. Bryce Young, quarterback for the team, will be running for his life the entire season. Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields are two quarterbacks who are constantly being compared to each other and there is some heated discussion in the media about whether or not this is a valid comparison, and people are taking sides in the debate.
Another week down in the NBA, and these teams all seem to want draft picks when none of them can draft. It seems like a bit of a crapshoot, and the league seems to flip every single year. Lebron is in the East, and then to the West, and it seems like this is indicative of the power shifts we see regularly in the NBA.
It seems like Kirby Yates, pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, still can’t find the strike zone. He struck two guys out, walked the last one, and then hit the bench. It was disappointing to see him play that way. You can’t shy away when these MLB games are so important. It will ruin your momentum and the bottom of the 8th.
It’s good to see things have picked up after a bit of a slow and less interesting week last week. One of the best things about following sports is that things can change on a dime and not knowing what can happen next keeps us tuning in and excited to report on what happens next.
