The Advent season is the four Sundays leading up to Christmas that calls the church to live expectantly. During Jesus's earthly ministry, many did not recognize who he was and missed out on what God wanted to do. Advent is a call to live in anticipation of Christ’s second coming, as the Bible teaches that his return is imminent.
