The big news from last week was the announcement that Austin Area Arts has received a grant from the Hormel Foundation that covers approximately 85% of the Paramount Theatre renovation project. Now work begins on raising the remaining 15%.
Also the Austin City Council tabled the proposed cannabis ordinance after concerns were raised over some of the local regulations in the ordinance. The Council will continue work on this issue.
And it was a very busy week in sports. Lots of scores to recap and some great games coming up this week.
