Psalm 84:10-11 “for a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness”
John 10:9-10 says “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” This is what it means to put on Christ. By. Being the doorkeeper, we are relying on THE DOOR to give us abundant purpose, impact, security, and a sense of home.
Inhale: God, I admit I’ve wanted to be anywhere else but in your House.
Exhale: Jesus, thank you for welcoming me in and reminding me you’re better
Inhale: God, forgive me for wanting to be elevated by the world
Exhale: Jesus, thank you for redeeming the “lowly” spaces
Inhale: I’m tired of running away.
Exhale: Jesus, thank you for welcoming me. You are better.
