Hearing God's voice tends to be an interesting topic to teach & share.
The more wisdom you get, the more you understand you must continue to surrender to God.
The Lord speaks & confirms in different ways.
We must continue to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and yield to the Holy Spirit everyday.
You must know God, not just knowing of God.
1 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.(John 10:1-5)
The sheep know the shepherds voice.
How can we grow with the Lord if we don't spend time with the Lord.
If you want to know God's voice, spend time with Him more.
When you are intimate with someone, you can know how they speak.
The Holy Spirit may say things that are uncomfortable.
Just because it's uncomfortable, doesn't mean its not God.
4 ways that God speaks
#1 God speaks through people.
20 Listen to counsel and receive instruction,
That you may be wise in your latter days. (Proverbs 19:20)
#2 God speaks through prayer.
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (Jude 1:20)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession [g]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26)
#3 God speaks through dreams/visions.
6 Then He said,
“Hear now My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream. (Numbers 12:6)
#4 God speaks through the Bible.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (2 Timothy 3:16)
3 Questions to ask yourself to know if it's God's voice
Do you wait on God?
Does it agree with scripture?
Does it give peace?
