Description

In chapter 17 we see a great harlot named, "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth." Verse 14 may be the key verse for the book of Revelation, "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful." In chapter 18 we see that this Babylon has fallen. Those who used her gave three "woes" at her destruction, but there is one group that rejoiced and that is found in verse 20, "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because god has pronounced judgment for you against her." Chapter 19 begins with the four-fold Hallelujah, and then the marriage of the Lamb is declared, and a mighty warrior named Faithful and True rode in on a white horse, and He destroyed the enemy. He is also called King of kings and Lord of lords. The beast and the false prophet were thrown alive in the lake of fire, and those who fought against the King of kings were killed by the mouth of  Him who sat on the horse.
