Description

Having fear is not a problem; in fact, it’s normal. The problem is often how we respond to fear. When we face uncertainty, we often seek external validation from those in our environment. The issue here is that we are the sum of the top five people we spend the most time with; therefore, those people are likely in the same fear space as we are, and handle it the same way we do – by panicking. We react instead of respond.

This is why awareness is so important. Thinking is difficult, so most people don’t do it. It takes a lot of energy to step back, examine a situation, and determine a course of action. But developing the emotional intelligence and internal competence to do so enables people to take the risk of uncertainty – which ultimately moves everyone forward.
