If you've had kids, you know the toddler phase is fun/amazing/rewarding and also difficult! Parenting in general has changed vastly since we grew up. There are terms like "gentle parenting" that are very popular and unpopular. Learning to let our kids feel their emotions has become a taboo topic - depending on who you are talking to.  Today, our TABOOBS guest is Liz! She is going through the thick of it right now, so it is fresh on her mind with a 3 year old.

Why is so much expected from our toddlers from the public? Mom's are judged when there are public tantrums for the fit itself, but also how you decide to handle it. Dad's aren't so harshly judged. When it comes to restaurants, toy stores, or any public outing, strangers have comments/looks that are unwanted. How do you handle it? Why can we not reframe our expectations of toddlers? They are toddlers - they should be able to act like toddlers. It's not always pleasant, but we cannot expect adultlike behavior out of our toddlers/kids.
