Description

We have a passage of scripture that is known as the Parable of the Good Samaritan. It's a story that can become so familiar, that we may simply gloss over it. But even the question, “And who is my neighbor?” that prompts Jesus to share this parable can teach us a valuable lesson. Where was the question coming from? Was it based on a desire to know the truth, looking for a spiritual loophole, seeking a word of affirmation or a combination of things? Are there places that we’ve tried to puff ourselves up in terms of our walk of faith or justified our actions or our lack of action? Perhaps one of the challenges you’re wrestling with this weekend is whether or not you’re going to attend worship. What answer has God already placed on your heart?
