Description

When someone hurts us, our first response may be to become angry and to think, “What’s wrong with them?!” Maybe there’s a part of us that even wants to lash out in return or get even. Yet instead of asking that question with an angry heart, what if we change it to a heart of compassion that breaks for those who hurt others? Perhaps by looking a bit more deeply we can begin to see the pain that they are carrying that would cause them to lash out in such a way. This week we’ll look at how this slight change in the way we think can protect our hearts even when we are hurt.
