Exodus 19-21 describes the delivery of the Ten Commandments by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. God descends on the mountain and calls Moses to the top, where he delivers the commandments and adds further laws and regulations. The Israelites agree to follow these commandments, including worshiping no other gods besides the Lord and keeping the Sabbath day holy. This chapter lays down the foundation of laws and regulations for the Israelites to follow as they journey through the wilderness.
