Leviticus 6 lays out the instructions for the "grain offering," which serves as an expression of gratitude for God's blessings. This offering is made with fine flour mixed with oil and frankincense, and a portion of it is burned on the altar to show devotion to God. This act serves as a reminder of God's provision and generosity towards his people.
Leviticus 7 deals with the "peace offering," which is a type of offering made in celebration or gratitude. The peace offering can be made with cattle, sheep, or goats, and serves as a symbol of the peace and prosperity that God has brought into the lives of his people.
Through these offerings and sacrifices, the Israelites were able to acknowledge their wrongdoings and seek forgiveness from God. At the same time, they were able to express their gratitude and thankfulness for all that God had done for them. These chapters in Leviticus serve as a testament to the compassionate and gracious nature of God towards his people, and the lengths to which he is willing to go to forgive and bless them.
