I met Ziggy McNeill on a bush trail on the way down to the beach. He was stopped, surfboard under his arm, birdwatching. I invited him on Live From The Backyard during that first short conversation not having even heard his music. I just had a feeling he was going to be some kind of guru. Turns out that gamble paid off. He arrived and warmed up on the guitar and I knew we were in for something special. The birds sang wildly as Ziggy performed his set. And performed is the right word. He really comes to life when he's playing music and it was a special afternoon for us to witness.
