In this unconventional episode of the Coming Out Late podcast, Robin takes a casual, unscripted approach this week, sharing with you a recent ‘thing’ she did. She did a ‘gay’ thing and she wants to share with you her ‘gay thing’ experience, AND share with you the things she learned about herself along the way. These ‘things’ Robin learned about herself are universal lessons we can all benefit from. She also hopes to recruit many of you to join her next year, to do this ‘gay thing’ together in one big happy gay group! Stay-tuned for Part 2 THIS WEEK!

In this episode you will learn… 

• You are stronger, wiser and more resilient than you give yourself credit for.
• Drop ALL expectations and ‘life’ will run like a Swiss watch!
• Be accountable to yourself, and take responsibility for your actions.
• Be yourself, and everything else will fall into place.
• Smile and say “please” and “thank you”.
• Have gratitude and show it.
• Ask for help. (Most people really do want to lend a hand!)
• Cry when needed; then blow your nose, pick yourself up and go to Plan “B”.
• Don’t give up on yourself.
• Trust the process. You are exactly where you are supposed to be in this time and place.
• Nothing changes if nothing changes.
• Feel the fear and do it anyway.
