Description

It’s okay to break down your reading into smaller sections! That is exactly what we’re doing in this Bible study. The book of Romans is a LOT to swallow. So just study ten verses at a time, or five, or one– but be sure to read all the surrounding verses. So we just talked about 4:1-12 yesterday, but I read them again before I jumped into studying this section. It helped me to get focused on what I would be reading today.

So let’s jump right in at verse 13! Paul restates his purpose clearly and concisely again right in the middle of chapter four. He has been answering the question, “What about our history?” and in verse 13 he says it loud and clear– our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are saved by our faith in God, and so was Abraham.

In this section he tells us about a specific example of a time Abraham demonstrated his faith in God, and it ties right into how we finished up yesterday talking about that resurrection power.

You ARE a Bible reader.
You CAN understand God's Word.
You WILL be changed by what you learn.

And, in turn, the Word of God will change your family, your community, and your world.
