Today we’re talking about spring cleaning, particularly as it relates to our closets. With spring upon us, lots of people in my life have been preparing themselves for Nowruz the Persian new year, celebrated at the spring equinox. In preparation for this really important holiday, we have lots of ceremonies and rituals, one of which being something called "khoone takooni" (translation: shaking up of the house) or spring cleaning. Whether you’re Iranian, just going through the house once or twice a year to clean, or if you’re like me any time you have too much time on your hand and need to feel productive, this applies to you. This is where today’s story begins...my closet journey: organizing, and re-organizing my closet over the past two years.
