We’re all a work in progress if we want to be. Last week we talked about the Hedonic Treadmill or Hedonic Adaptation. In that episode I shared that I was inspired by viewing Mark Manson’s documentary, “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*CK.” As I developed that episode and have continued to reflect, the reason why it resonated with me so much is that I feel like I’ve reverted back to a season of life where my baseline happiness is waning and I’m constantly seeking opportunities for a jolt in happiness. What I really need to be focused on though is the hard work of raising my baseline happiness or raising my hedonic set point. In this episode, we'll dive into what a hedonic set point is, why it matters, practical strategies to elevate it, and our 30-day happiness challenge.
