We’ve all heard the phrase ‘food is just fuel’, but have you ever thought about whether that’s the relationship that you want to have with food?
Do you want to only eat lean protein and endless servings of vegetables for the rest of your life?
Or do you want food to be a source of joy in your life? Of comfort? Or pleasure? Or FUN??
And, if so, to what extent?
Is it possible for food to be fuel AND fun? I would argue that:
1) Hell yeah it is. And...
2) That’s actually how we create a “normal” healthy, stress-free relationship with food.
This is how we create a relationship with food that doesn’t have us eating to the point of feeling sick, or ending up face-down in a carton of ice cream or a mountain of Taco Bell after a hard day.
