During this apologetics week, we continue discussing the problem of evil. It is a complex problem, and there is no simple answer. Previously (week 4), we had discussed how God could bring forth good from evil even if we may not always see it. We briefly explored how evil exists because other people hurt us, such as Joseph and his brothers, in Genesis 50. Now this week, we want to examine how evil often (though not always) exists in the world because we create it, do it, and bring it upon ourselves. It is not an easy realization, but it is one that we must ultimately accept in many ways. We will be reading a lot more this week than usual, but we must do so. We will be reading II Samuel 11 and II Samuel 12:1-23.

I apologize for tripping over my words when reading and butchering Hebrew names!  It wouldn't be an episode if I didn't get tripped up somehow, right?
