Martin Luther, theologian and prominant figure during the Reformation, said, "Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us."
I couldn't agree more. I love music. I don't sing well nor can I play an instrument, but I love music. It speaks to my heart and my soul. It is one of the most delightful presents God has given me.
This episode was indeed a gift to me as I had the honor of interviewing guitartist, Mark Lee of the Christian rock band, Third Day. With his 27 years of experience in the music industry, he shares great stories about what goes into writing music and performing in front of large crowds with the sole purpose of glorifying God. He also shares his thoughts about the connection between music and humanity and how an accident in his teens was instrumental in pointing him to music.
Check out his book, Hurt Road, on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
