Kids need extra help she says, so they can begin to think for themselves, and parents, teachers and others who care about them can provide thoseresources to them.

Detri runs the nonprofit Reaching for Life, Inc. which encourages reading writing, and communicating through developing advanced emotional intelligence skills.
