Welcome to 1895! This is an exciting year for film—competition is ramping up to master the art of the moving picture. 
Two sets of brothers would ultimately win this race—the Lumiére brothers and the Skladanowsky brothers. 
This week we’ll be discussing where and when these first film showings took place, and, more importantly, we discussed the films that were viewed on this historical days.
