Turn 1: Episode 15
The infield track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is no stranger to big-time racing (including F1!). However, something changed in 2005 and the two Formula 1 tyre manufactures of Bridgestone and Michelin brought vastly different products to the race. In a modern F1 disaster, 20 cars entered, only 6 raced...

New fans to F1 will be very familiar with Pirelli, their tyres, and the hundreds of ads lining each track. However, Formula 1 has a long history of different tyre manufactures including having multiple manufacturers at the same time! Turn 1 examines  the tyre wars that happened in F1 and the event that ended having multiple manufactures, the 2005 United States Grand Prix.
