There are three steps in the direct sales selling process: creating awareness and desire, making an offer, and closing the sale.
Most direct sellers are good at creating awareness and desire, and often, it’s the only step they're taught, but that’s just marketing. And if that step alone led to sales, your company wouldn’t need a sales field.
Selling is a skill, a service, and a conversation, and when you learn how to do it effectively, you’ll be able to teach your team how to do it and transfer your skills to team building and leading.
One of the ways to embrace the sales process is to fall in love with your products and look at your prices in a neutral way, and I give you several suggestions for how to do this.
When you learn to play the long game, you’ll look at your products as conversation starters and reasons to keep the conversation going. You’ll learn how to focus on building relationships and serving your customers, which will set you apart from everyone else.
