Setting boundaries is important for maintaining your peace and existing in healthy relationships….
but that doesn’t mean doing so is easy. 

It can be uncomfortable and stressful to simply say "no" or even assert yourself, but it's necessary for your well-being and to set your standards which ultimately sets expectations for others. 

Remember, however, that you can't control how others may respond to your boundaries, but you can control how you react to their response. 

Ways to “dance” through this process:

Accept their reaction without judgment.

Honor that it is ok to prioritize your needs. 

Respect that your choices might not align with others. 

celebrate your growth with each boundary set. 

Sometimes in life it’s necessary to “sit this song out” to preserve your energy to really boogie down on the next one. 💃🏼🏼
