Drs. Fairchild and Buttress discuss a fun topic here looking at surgery attire: scrub cap or bouffant? Look good, feel good.
Back in 2014, AORN flipped operating rooms upside down overnight when they published bouffants should be worn instead of skull caps.
So, the American College of Surgeons released a study to examine this, called "Hats Off" which actually found no differences between the two in regards to actively sampled microbial contamination.
Which do you prefer? We would love to see pictures of your scrub caps and bouffants! Send them to our email, dfwthepancreas@gmail.com or tag us!
