In tribute to the Victorian tradition of reading ghost stories at Christmas, Grace is here to read you a special, spooky holiday story: "Lucky's Grove," by H. R. Wakefield.
A wealthy landowner finds out that his Christmas tree may be a little more than he bargained for, and may have to pay the price for meddling with forces he didn't understand. Published in 1940, Wakefield's tale offers a bit of a pagan twist (with very gentle Lovecraftian undertones, IMHO) on the traditional Christmas ghost story.
