WHY take care of your overall health? 

Being physically healthy enables you to have better overall health, including in your relationships. What is normal for YOU may be a different normal than what is normal for someone else. So knowing your body is an important piece of the puzzle. 

8 things YOU can do to improve your overall health 

  1. Eat a healthy, balanced diet 
  2. Go to the doctor 
  3. Don't use tobacco, vape products, alcohol, or drugs
  4. Exercise as often as you can
  5. Keep your emotions in tack
  6. Get enough sleep
  7. Wear sunscreen 
  8. Talk kindly to your body and your soul 

My 5 finger rule (remember this from episode one?) 

  1. Stress management 
  2. Sleep 
  3. Water intake 
  4. Nutrition 
  5. Exercise 

Negative Outcomes from NOT taking care of your health… 

  1. increase in anxiety, fear, anger and depression (poor mental and emotional health) 
  2. Increase in cardiovascular disease risk 
  3. Obesity and type 2 diabetes risk 
  4. Low energy 
  5. Less patience 
  6. Getting sick more often from lack of strong immune system 
  7. Poor relationships with family and friends 
  8. Poor self talk
